PEO 1: The graduates of the civil engineering progamme will have adequate knowledge of science, mathematics and management field to suitably use it in practical problem studies and analysis to arrive at right solutions/decisions for understanding the concepts of transportation systems.


PEO 2: The graduate of the civil engineering programme will have sound and the core knowledge of the subjects viz. Strength of Materials, structure analysis, hydraulic & hydraulic machines, transportation engineering, geotechnical engineering, fluid mechanics, surveying, geo-informatics, building materials & constructions, environmental engineering etc. in particular and other associated fields of civil engineering in general. The graduates of civil engineering programme will have successful professional careers.


PEO 3: The graduates of civil engineering programme will acquire additional advanced and updated knowledge by making use of technological facilities available.


PEO 4: To promote institute and industry relations through regular interactions and by creating memorandum of understanding between the two. The graduates of civil engineering will be capable of demonstrating their management skills as leaders/members of a team in engineering assignments.


PEO 5: The graduates of civil engineering programme will continue to learn and to adapt in a world of constantly evolving technology. The graduate of civil engineering programme will be capable of continuing further higher studies at National and international level.



PO 1: Apply knowledge of Mathematics, Science and engineering to solve the complex problems and understand basic concepts of various civil engineering subjects.

PO 2: Identify, formulate, search literature and analyse complex problems related to civil Engineering fields.

PO 3: Design solutions for general use to the society to meet their basic needs, cultural and environmental requirements.

PO 4: Use research based knowledge to conduct investigations, analysis and interpretation of the information to arrive at valid conclusions.

PO 5: Use modern tools, techniques, and resources in Civil Engineering activities.

PO 6: Understand their responsibilities and duties towards society, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and adopt them in professional engineering practice.

PO 7: Know and use their knowledge in maintenance and sustenance of healthy and safe environment.

PO 8: Know ethically right and wrong and should honestly follow do’s and don'ts in day to day engineering practices.

PO 9: Display effective leadership qualities in day to day controlling of engineering practices and in achieving the time bound targets. They should also display a high team spirit as and when given an opportunity to act as member of a team/group in specific and multi skill environment.

PO 10: Being capable of effective expressions of their ideas and thoughts orally as well as in writing. They must be able to precisely and effectively write the technical briefs and concepts and present them systematically to the technocrats as well as to any group of society. They should also be able to accept, understand and follow the instructions.

PO 11: Display their management skills in the capacity of a leader as well as a member of group in accomplishment of specific and multidisciplinary projects.

PO 12: Be self motivated to display keenness to learn and update their knowledge for continual improvement in existing engineering practices and technological change in future.
