`ATISARGA…. bidding farewell!
Traditional Farewell Party, wherein the B. Tech 3rd Year students bid `adieu’ to their senior friends of B. Tech 4th year was held on 16 May 2016 in the open college sports ground under the wonderful ambience of serene night sky. All 4th Year students were seen joining the function wearing smart dresses with girls in colorful sarees adding to the grandeur of the occasion.
The evening commenced with arrival of the Director with HODs, Deans, Faculty Members and Section I/Cs having already joined. They were all welcomed by presenting a sapling to each by the student conveners.
Cultural Program of the evening started with Ganesh Vandana by way of a dance recital invoking presence of God for a good beginning. Thereafter, a highly charged `group dance’ by `24’ members of Taal society captivated the crowd. The evening proceeded with a skit “ग से गांधी “ which depicted that our problems in the society have been caused because we have forgotten ideals of Gandhi Ji. This play had been adjudged as the best (gold winner) during the state level competitions held in Lucknow under the arrangements of our university (AKTU). Another state level winning performance was presented by our college band `EUPHONY’ who further regaled the audience with their melodious members. Audience also enjoyed mimicry & poetry presented by some 2nd Year students (Pulkit, Dishank & Priyanshu).
Another highlight of the evening was “Mr / Ms Farewell” contest among `12’ short listed students (6 boys & 6 girls) of 4th Year. They all went through the drill of ramp-walk, self -introduction and a grilling question / answer session. Mr Vijayant Narayan Singh (EN) & Ms Ayushi Tomar (CS) were adjudged winners of the titles for their intelligent answers and amicable presentation. They were presented with handsome prizes & trophies. All other contestants were presented with a book each as participation gift.
Director also disbursed the academic & good class-attendance cash prizes / certificates to the passing-out students. Certificates of Merit to State level winners were also disbursed.
The end of the function was marked by proposing a `Vote of Thanks’ by conveners to all concerned who helped in making the evening a grand success.
The function was followed by dinner and a vibrant DJ night at the end.
