Share a little, Care a little-Donate Blood
Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College reaffirmed its resolve of inculcating within its students a sense of responsibility towards the society as it organized its Annual Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with Rotary Noida Blood Bank and M.M.G. Hospital, Ghaziabad on 10 February, 2016.
The camp witnessed an enthusiastic turnout as the students of the college participated in huge numbers to contribute to the noble cause. The HODs, Deans, faculty members and staff members too fulfilled their responsibility towards the society as they proudly adorned the badge of a blood donor. Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College has had a long standing reputation of not just carving out excellent engineers but also responsible citizens out of its students, and the success of the Blood Donation Camp 2016 emphasized this fact once again.
To create awareness about the importance of Blood Donation and to inculcate amongst the students this feeling, a poster making competition was organized by Team Footprints, and subsequently an exhibition of the posters made by the students was put up which was appreciated by one and all.
The camp commenced at 9:00 A.M. and was inaugurated by Shri Saurabh Bhardwaj, MLA (AAP), Chief Guest of the day. Dr. Atul Jain, General Secretary, U.P. Technical Institutions Foundation, Shri Vinay Garg, Treasurer, AKGEC Management Committee and other eminent dignitaries too graced the occasion with their benign presence. Dr. R.K. Agarwal, Director of AKGEC presided over the event and welcomed the guests. The Director appreciated the smooth organization of the event and the active coordination among the students.
The Dean Students Welfare, Prof. V.K. Parashar imparted his wisdom and exemplary activeness in making the Blood Donation Camp 2016 a success. The student convenors Shweta Yadav, Gaurang Basant Agarwal, Siddharth Singhal, Shivam Maheshwari, and Devanshi Gupta worked tirelessly towards the successful completion of the camp.
