Mitsubishi Electric India (MEI), Factory Automation and Industrial Division (FAID) in Association with, Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College took the initiative to link the need of the industry with the institutes engaged in dissemination of higher technical education in NCR and organized an Edumeet on 1st March 2017 at AKGEC campus.
It was a unique platform that brought together experts from the industry and academia, to discuss and collaborate, on the most critical gaps between industry and academia. The experts exchanged their ideas and perspectives, thereby contributed to improving the skill set in improving the existing curriculum. In this brainstorming session, the challenges and issues in the implementation of a model curriculum were jointly discussed.
The event witnessed good participation from several eminent industries and academia. Eminent names from industry like Honda, Carl Zeiss, Sriram Piston, Ghaziabad Precision Ltd, Vishwakarma Machine tools, TAC Automation and many more participated and contributed in the discussion. Among the academia present were premier educational institutions like CSIR Chandigarh, Amity University, Northern Cap University Gudgaon,Dayalbag University,Agra etc who gave their insights on the changes required in the curriculum. After discussion on the key pointers, recommendations and suggestions were consolidated upon to implement changes in the curriculum of Factory Automation.
