Tech Trishna, the annual techno-managerial festival of Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College yet again set new benchmarks of technical creativity and excellence, by virtue of the united efforts of 600 coordinators and volunteers who worked towards the realization of this grand extravaganza. The festival which stretched over two days was formally kick-started by the Dean Students Welfare Prof. V.K. Parashar, Organizing Head of Tech Trishna 2015, on March 14, 2015 by addressing the students in the amphitheatre and motivating them to showcase their technical skills and enjoy the two days festival.
The registrations were carried out systematically with the aid of the Event Management System powered by the Software Incubator team and the guest participants were provided with a special Tech Trishna Kit. For the sake of better organization and simplicity, the events were divided under 8 categories, namely Zombotron (Robotic Events), Alter Ego (LAN Gaming Events), Forward Slash (Online Events), Cross Examine (Quizzing Events), Physics (Technical Implementation), Beat The Byte (Coding Events), The Yellow Pages (Managerial Events) and Divergent Spectrum (Miscellaneous Events).
Bob The Builder (Junkyard Wars), Rise of Nations (The ultimate Trade-off), B.Tech. Trolled (4 Years Transform) and Robo Festinate (RoboRace) were the events which stole the show and attracted a large number of students. Besides these, 4 online events attracted participation from all over India, out of which Photo Web and Route D Moksha emerged to be the most popular.
Go-Karts of SAE club and Robots representing AKGEC at Robo-Con were put on display and functioned awe-strikingly which attracted one and all. AKGEC CORE sponsored workshops on various topics of Industrial Automation and Robotics for external students. Also, the automated boards of Samveg and Phoenix society put every passerby in awe. The Director Dr. R.K. Agarwal, along with all HoDs and Deans, visited the event areas and the Fun Fair which raised the motivation level of the participants as well as the student coordinators and volunteers. The arenas of The Sea Legacy and Robo Festinate were highly appreciated during the visit. There were various attractions for rejuvenation of the students as the Fun Fair catered to them all day long and a Flash Mob organized by the Taal Society made everyone thump their feet to the popular tunes.
The festival saw participation by 170 colleges amounting to a grand total 2638 students participating across 25 events that concluded with the Closing Ceremony on March 15, 2015 wherein the winners were awarded with valuable certificates, cash prizes and AKGEC CORE privilege cards. The cultural performances of Euphony, the college band, and Taal society filled the ceremony with grandeur. The Director in his speech appreciated Prof. V.K. Parashar, for having organized the fest so seamlessly. Prof. V.K. Parashar in his report on Tech Trishna 2015 presented the statistics representing the success of the Fest and thanked the Director for all time encouragement and also lauded the efforts of student organizers, coordinators and volunteers. The General Secretaries Ashwin Dubey, Prachi Bhambani, Meenali Saxena and Shalabh Tyagi concluded the evening with the Vote of Thanks wherein they thanked everyone involved in making Tech Trishna 2015 a grand success.
